  • The three main fires in Sonoma County have been the Nuns Fire (currently at 99% containment), the Pocket Fire (99% contained), and the Tubbs Fire (99% contained). These three fires combined have blazed through 110,366 acres since October 8th.
  • The death toll in Sonoma County was 23 people as of Saturday, October 21. There are still around 25 people missing in Sonoma County out of a total of 150 missing-person reports filed in the County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Mandatory evacuations occurred throughout the County. On October 21st, officials lifted the ban for residents of the Eastern region of Sonoma Valley, as well as allowed limited visits to damaged areas of Kenwood, Bennett Valley, and Glen Ellen by residents. On Oct. 20th, the County reopened Highway 12 for the first time in two weeks.
  • The Hilton Sonoma Wine Country, a 250-room hotel, is on the list of damaged and destroyed buildings, as is Bee-Well Farms, the Gundlach Bundschu Winery (sustained some damage), Nicholson Ranch Winery (sustained some damage), Stornetta Dairy Farm, and Paradise Ridge (winery destroyed).
